I’ve had the Resident Evil demo sitting on my PlayStation 4 for weeks, but I’ve yet to open it. I’m just far too worried that its monumental departure in style and tone will only lead to crushing disappointment. Change isn’t always a bad thing though.Resident Evil 4 was a great departure from the original trio of survival horrors, and it redefined and shaped future action games. Perhaps the creative spark that once electrified Capcom is back with this latest instalment? Perhaps. Since then, the series has definitely taken a turn for the worse. Resident Evil 5 wasn’t a great game, though it was a hell of a lot of fun as a co-operative action game. The less we say about Resident Evil 6, the better.Anyway, Resident Evil 7 is coming – and it’ll be coming to PC too. IF that’s your platform of choice, here (According to Steam, anyway) is what you’ll need to play it at its minimum and maximum settings.MINIMUM Considering the new engine that powers Resident Evil 7, those specification are much lighter than I’d have imagined. You won’t need Pascal or Polaris to get the best out of the game at 1080p/60fps – with the mid-range Maxwell supposedly capable of delivering the game at its best.Me? When I do pick it up, I’ll probably grab it on Ps4 for its PSVR features. I’ll also make sure to have be wearing brown pants and to have a bucket handy for the inevitable motion sickness.
